to the Belgian border in the heart of the linen producing area.
Historically, as a weaver for the industrial market, Charvet understands

In Armentières, City
of Northern France known since the Middle Ages as the “city of canvas”,
was produced the most beautiful sheets. At the beginning of the 20th
century, the company diversified its offer in all industrial markets
thanks to the weaving of linen yarns, the favourite raw material in
Flanders where the cultures abound.
