Our Giti Bread Basket is woven from water hyacinth which is a new natural material for our kitchen and pantry collections. Simply braided, this versatile basket is as happy storing the inevitable kitchen odds and ends as it is serving up bread rolls and cheese crackers. Water hyacinth is a river weed in Vietnam, where these baskets are made, so the local weavers we work with are making ingenious use of an unwelcome species in the ecosystem.
To care for your basket, regularly wipe with dry cloth or use a soft bristle brush to remove any build up dust or dirt. Avoid contact with abrasive cleaning products or built up of moisture.
