Made in Italy, these fabulous decorative pieces are designed as generous baskets piled high with individually modelled ceramic lemons. Each fruit has a wonderfully textured surface recreating the natural skin of a lemon, while deep green leaves are tucked between the fruit to create a colourful and abundant display.
The lemons sit within a softly glazed cream ceramic basket with a gently textured surface and shaped rim. The contrast between the neutral basket, vivid yellow fruit and rich green leaves gives these pieces enormous decorative impact while retaining the playful character for which Italian fruit ceramics are so loved.

These are vintage ceramic pieces and show signs of age and previous use. Small variations between the two examples, together with variations in the glaze, firing marks and minor surface imperfections, are consistent with their age and manufacture and form part of their character.
